3 Wheeler Buggies

A three-wheeled buggy is perfect for off-road terrain and offers the most comfortable ride for infants. They can also be easier to move and push than a four-wheel buggy especially those with fabric sling seats or modular seats that are set snugly in the frame, delivering the most efficient geometry and weight distribution.

Stability

A three-wheeled buggy offers excellent stability, which is why it's an ideal option for off-road walking (especially with an all terrain or off-road-style seat). They often feature oversized front wheels that can deal well with kerbs and bumps as well as rough terrain. Some models even come with a lockable front wheel for extra stability on uneven terrain.

It is important to keep in mind that 3-wheel buggies have a lower center of gravity than 4-wheeled versions and, therefore, could fall more easily. The best 3-wheeled pushchairs are made with the best 3 wheel pushchair geometry to ensure that they remain stable in any condition. They should be able to turn at a single click, be easy to steer with just one hand and have a 360o swivelling front wheel which makes them ideal for maneuvering and navigating difficult terrain.

For really tricky surfaces, look out for an air-filled model also known as pneumatic tyres, which are made to handle roads that are not paved and can deal with mud, gravel, rock and more. A lot of all-terrain buggies have an swivelling wheel at the front that can be locked for greater stability when dealing with rough terrain.

A 3-wheeler is a good option for runners or for those who prefer to walk quickly and uphill, particularly in the event that you're planning to connect an infant car seat or carrycot. The Roma Atlas is an excellent example. It has an incline-reclining seat that is flat, with five-point harnesses, and plenty of storage space to store all your gear (plus the ability to extend 50+ of the sun hood). Weight

PU tyres can be used on pushchairs because they are less expensive than tyres filled with air, but they are equally robust. You can recognise PU tires by their smooth appearance and soft texture. They also slide over smooth and tidy surfaces.

If you run your hand over the tyres you can tell if they're rubber or PU. If it feels like it's sliding, then it is a rubber or PU. You can also test if your buggy is fitted with PU tyres sliding them on a flat, clean surface. They should roll easily and fit comfortably into wheel hubs.
